Mauricio is incredibly talented as a hair stylist. He is very accommodating and fast, while always delivering a great quality haircut. Trust him for a great haircut!

Flanked only by a small sign, an unassuming door opens up to a flight of stairs. Mauricio greets you at the top and invites you into his studio. A single chair awaits across a room adorned with paintings, sculptures and objects that not only bring color and energy to the space, but is a reflection of the man that created them. Sitting in the chair, Mauricio preps you and asks about your cut. I don't quite know all the terminology and I do my best to describe it. Mauricio is a professional, so he understands and gets to work.

I've been to many barbers, some good, some bad. Some are quick and some are too quick leaving me with disappointment, zero confidence and much to be desired. Mauricio is patient, meticulous and precise, all while making light conversation, chatting about life and treating you like his most important client. Don't misunderstand though! I used to think talking was an early sign of a mediocre haircut, but this time was most definitely the exception.

Sitting in that chair, it feels like a secret. A sacred place hidden away from the uninitiated. My hair is long and although I can't hear it falling to the floor, I know it's piling up. It's been months since I've had my last haircut and it took me quite of bit of time finding a place I felt comfortable with. Some time goes by and he hands me a small mirror to inspect his work before he adds his final touches. I don't want to be a bother, so I quickly take a few glances and hand it back satisfied with what I saw. In that short moment, I could already sense my excitement growing, ready for the final reveal. No one has ever shown as much care and attention to detail as Mauricio has. He finishes up and brushes away the loose hairs from my face and around my shoulders. I walk over to the mirror with delight; this is the best haircut I have ever had!
